PTI MIM & Transformation Tuesday

Hope you're staying safe with all the terrible weather.  We have some wind & rain, but nothing dangerous.  Our mountains are finally getting quite a bit of snow, but it's too late for some of the resorts that have already closed.
On to some cards I made the last couple days.  In all honesty, when I saw the PTI MIM theme, Mask & Stack, I said to myself, "Oh no!"  I almost never mask images.  However, after watching Betsy's video, I decided to give it a try with a PTI butterfly.  But then I remembered the Heart-2-Heart stamp & die with cute little balloons.
Took three tries as I messed up my first two panels trying to add some shimmer.  I don't seem to be able to photograph blues very well.  The colors are actually grayer than they look here: Enchanted Evening, Blueberry Sky & Spring Rain.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I added a single PPP Sparkling Clear sequin--something I learned from my friend, Stella.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & The House that Stamps Built.
Edited to add: Also entering Uniko 6th BD Linky Party.

PTI has added a new challenge: Transformation Tuesday.  I had no problem finding a card I wanted to re-do as I was never really happy with this one--my November Blog Hop card.
My Card for the Nov '17 Blog Hop
I still wanted to use Harvest Berries leaf dies & Mix & Mat Flourishes die.  Instead of Distress Ink smooshing, this time I made a watercolor panel using Prima Confections & a bit of Gansai Tambi gold.
Transformed Card
The leaves were die cut from the panel & this time I also used the coordinating stamps with my new Prairie Grass ink pad.  Oh what a difference!

I die cut the panel from Ripe Avocado cardstock & added the die cut holes from another die in the set.  I stamped the same sentiment from Lovely Layers using the Prairie Grass ink.  The top leaves were attached with foam this time, for a bit more dimension.  The card is Vintage Cream & again sequins were used for embellishment, but just 3 small gold ones.  Now I have a card I can actually mail--yah!  I'm also entering SSS Work it Wednesday, SSS Wednesday & WAW.  Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

  7. What a delightful post today! Your masking technique is one of the best on the MIM challenge. I like your blog hop card. Its gold glamour makes an elegant thank you card. The remake is beautiful with the gold touches, the texture of the punched dots outline and rounded corners mimicking the frames curves.
