Easter Blessings

I'm slowly adding Distress Oxide ink pads to my stash--one coupon at a time!  I decided to use faded jeans & cracked pistachio with my favorite CAS design to make an Easter card for the Impression Obsession challenge
I blended the 2 inks in an area masked on a white panel & misted with Perfect Pearls before removing the tape.  The shimmer is really gorgeous in person.  Then I stamped the IO Solid Tree in VersaMagic Jumbo Java multiple times using my Mini MISTI.  Easter Blessings (B5430) was stamped the same way.  I added some splatters of the blue & green inks before mounting the panel with foam tape to a card front sponged with the faded jeans.  I tend to use this tree in the Fall, but I think it works great for any season by changing the color scheme.  I checked the DT cards & looks like IO is pretty lenient with the definition of CAS, in case you're thinking I didn't leave enough white space.  This will go to my brother & his wife or my cousin & his wife as I love using this tree on cards for men.  I'm also entering Stamplorations Theme.  Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Edited to add: Also entering SSS National Craft Month.

  1. I like the design of having the color down the center of the card for the background. The tree gives the sign spring is coming and the leaves will be coming soon.

  2. so pretty in those colors, Greta - your card looks my part of the world these days - bright blue skies and bare trees - but the birds are chirping so spring is coming.

  3. Love those two colors blended together Greta. Those oxide inks are fab. I have about 9 I think, and am going to add a couple more.
That tree is perfect for renewal and for winter/fall. Very versatile.

  6. It's such a colorful design, yet so CAS. Love this bare tree, and your DOX masked blending looks so pretty. The spatters add a lot of dimension, and I expect the P.Pearls really did add such a lot of glimmer. I love the DOX, and can't wait for the next release of colors. I seem to always be missing one that I need! TFS

  14. Hey there sweet friend... my apologies for not visiting in awhile but you are always in my thoughts.
I'm so glad you added the distress oxides to your stash and 2 of my favourite colours! Your blending is wonderful and such a lovely Easter card. Its raining here today and I think we should just skip spring and go for summer... After all I'm tired of waiting for Spring to turn up! Sending big hugs...
