Finished a couple cards for 2 of my favorite companies: PTI and Winnie & Walter.
First is Kraft & Colored Pencils for PTI MIM. I only have a few good pencils since I don't do much coloring of images & they weren't the colors I wanted.
The Take Three sets have small designs which I thought might hide my lack of coloring skills--haha! I used the matching die cut to line up the images in my Mini MISTI & heat embossed them in white. I used a couple pinkish & green Crayola pencils. Hard to tell in the photo, but I used more of the dark pink for the center flower. For the sentiment (also in the MISTI) I stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia, then in Autumn Rose & then again in the first ink to get a custom color close to my colored pencils. Decided against bling & simply tied on a twine bow. I'm also entering HLS CAS Challenge, The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge & Word Art Wednesday.
Next is another card for the W&W 3rd BD Bash. I'm entering the Mood Board Challenge with Heather P. The gorgeous pink Daisy immediately grabbed my attention. This is only my second card using In Bloom: Addie's Garden, so only one of these stamps had been previously inked.
I used the MISTI so I could stamp multiple times using Versafine Smokey Gray to get the intensity I wanted. Less intimidating to color only 1 image & I hadn't done the Spotlight Technique in ages. I used 2 pink Zigs & blended with clear Wink of Stella for a beautiful shimmer. The circle die cut is Lawn Fawn & is popped up with black fun foam. I sponged the Smokey Gray ink on the card front & used it to stamp the sentiment which is over-stamped in Watermark & clear embossed. This is the first time I've used the sentiment which is in a stamp set from The Ton which Virginia included in a giveaway I won. All the sentiments are wonderful--think I'll just leave it on my table as they'll get lots of use. I'm also entering The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge, The Playground (circles from snippets) & Time Out. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

ReplyDeleteWonderful cards Greta, there is something so fun about a card with three windows...and the spotlight card is fabulous as well. The gray is such a nice change from black.
ReplyDeleteTwo just lovely cards. Love the trio of inchie flowers on #1, the soothing feeling of the color scheme. I really like the way you've made the background on #2, and then used one of the flowers to color as a focal point. So pretty! TFS (and I saw you in the Snippets Playground!) Hugs
