Fun Stamping

Gorgeous Fall day here, so it was another leaf raking day. Hubby rakes & I pick them up.  My current yard work outfit is an old pair of purple sweatpants & a pink shirt--no, I'm not sharing a picture--haha!  However, it did inspire the stamping I did this afternoon.
I do love stamping & that's what we're doing for PTI MIM this week, except the challenge is to stamp wrapping paper instead of a card. Random stamping for a background is a look I love, but it can be harder to have random stamping look right than precise stamping--know what I mean?  But this time I just went for it, not thinking too much, & had a ball using 2 small images from Snowflake Flurries with Sweet Blush & Winter Wisteria.  I also added the 3 dots from Wreath for All Seasons in Soft Stone.  For the tag I used Mat Stack 3, but trimmed the sides & bottom to make it smaller.
I used the same stamps & inks, but used my Mini MISTI so I could get a darker shade of the pink.  The sentiment is from Snowflake Flurries--love the mixed font.  The design of my tag is inspired by Tracey's Day 1 tag for 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  I'm also entering my gift box in these challenges: Allsorts, Always Use RubberThe Playground & Word Art Wednesday. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

  6. Wonderful Greta! I totally agree that random stamping/splattering or whatever is much harder than precision work. It's too easy to make it look uniform - you managed random perfectly! Love that you stamped the tag using the Misti to be able to get just that bit more depth to the pink.

It's a glorious day here - cold start but clear skies and wonderful sunshine right now!

    Hugs

  8. Your package is so pretty and I love the colors on it and the matching tag. That is a great idea to make your own paper. Yours looks so professional. With the matching tag it looks like a set from the Container Store.

  20. I like your sweet tag as much as the pretty paper!! Terrific ribbon too. I'll bet you look extra cute in your yard work outfit!! It reminded me of the anniversary gift my cousin got this year. She said she always asks for something for her yard on their anniversary. A tool, building project or specific plants. This year she wanted a backpack leaf blower and was tickled pink to get it!!

  27. 1st thing I noticed was your colors, then I read what inspired them, and had to laugh! Pretty much what we do when beginning our projects, look around, pick a source and go for it. Only in your case, It worked well! Beautiful snowflakes, and love the sweet tag!
