The mood board for the Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge is full of fabulous inspiration, but I kept being drawn to the bright pink flowers & white chairs in the upper right corner.
My new SSS Painted Hugs die was cut from textured gray cardstock 3 times. I added PPP marshmallow sequins to finish off the card. I'm also entering SSS Flickr Challenge #52 & HLS Anything Goes with Dies.
Next is my card card for a2z Scrapbooking Color it In challenge.
I used Hero Arts Color Layering For You Flowers stamp set which I bought after seeing a video using the images on their own instead of layered. The second step flower & leaf images are white embossed on a square of Bristol paper so I could color with my Zigs.
I added splatters from the darkest purple & aqua pens & then misted several times from about 15 inches away with Perfect Pearls. I used a Spellbinder die to cut the opening in a square of the same textured gray cardstock I used in the first card. The sentiment from the same set is white embossed on a die cut vellum circle (Lifestyle Crafts) matted with a slightly larger circle. PPP sparkling clear sequins finish off the card. I'm also entering Darnell's NBUS #7 (hadn't used the flower or sentiment), SSS Wednesday & Allsorts. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

I love those purple shades of flowers paired with the gray cardstock. I also love your take on the inspiration picture. Great card and using that embossing folder was pure genius.

Love the embossed flowers and the colors you used to color them with! Thanks for joining us at a2z!
ReplyDeleteLove the pretty pop of pink for the swirly flower with the stripes. Very nice!!! Your other card reminds me of the technique where you roll fresh flowers through your Big Shot to transfer the color to you paper.
