I don't have a PTI sentiment stamp really big enough for the MIM technique. Striped coverplates are also missing from my collection. However, I was determined to enter the challenge, so had to make do with what I have. Check out Danielle's video to see her great examples. White cardstock is pretty cheap so I just stamped on the white panel & then lined up the strips (after white embossing) & trimmed it to size. Couldn't resist adding some white paint splatters. Love the flowers in the Twig Wreath set which I cut from this pretty rose felt & attached with old black square brads. Fortunately I had rose colored cardstock that was a pretty good match to the felt.
Not sure about this sentiment, but I do believe good self esteem is important for all of us. Heading for a visit to my sister's this week, so won't have much computer time. Hubby & Fritz will keep the home fires burning & I'll catch up with you when I can.
I've been working on this card for the last 4-5 days as I kept getting interrupted. At least I finished in time this month to enter the always inspiring PTI Blog Hop Challenge.
I love wreaths & my last PTI order included the new Twig Wreath stamps & dies. My inspiration came from the wreath being one that isn't solid leaves & the Fall colors. It was so much fun to stamp the wreath & various other images in the set. You don't have to be exact--sort of on the order of collage stamping (which I'm not good at) but this was very forgiving since you have the wreath as a starting point.

The inks are Memento Rich Cocoa, Northern Pine, Morocco & Peanut Brittle. The berries are second generation with Frost White--could have done them full strength I see now. The sentiment from the set is heat embossed after stamping in Encore Metallic Champagne. The slight shadow effect is done with the Rich Cocoa. The flowers are die cut from an off white felt & are attached together & to the panel with my very old copper brads. I added some white & brown splatters & made the little striped strip with the same inks using the narrow image from Watercolor Wonder. Finished off with some twine. I can't wait to make more cards with this set! Lots to see, so I'm off to check out the hop. My stamping lets me enter at SSS Monday & with no designer paper I'll join in at SSS Wednesday. Haven't entered a Uniko challenge in awhile, so heading over there. The first challenge at ChouxChoux Paper Arts includes Fall cards, so this will be my second entry. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

I'm not really big on Halloween, but it's fun to see the little ones all dressed up. Fritz is doing so well even when someone comes to the door. He stops barking when I tell him it's OK & doesn't just go crazy like our other dogs did. Halloween may be a bit much, though. Luckily, we seldom have many kids. I do usually send a card to my sister & didn't want to miss the Impression Obsession challenge, Happy Haunting! I don't have any IO Halloween stamps or dies, but thought the tree die (DIE006-V) would work. Obvious why the Fancy Pants black glitter paper was on clearance--it sheds! Oh well, does make a sparkly tree & my sis won't mind. I cut a piece from my favorite shimmery Halloween designer paper by KI Memories which I've had for years. The dies are Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangles. I picked up the purple & green in the paper (have to look close to see it) & used the little Teresa Collins stickers to spell BOO. Finished off with some of my little black gems--$1 for a whole sheet! I did have fun making this card, so maybe I'll have to make some others for Halloween this year. Thanks to my friends, Maria & Char, I'm linking up to the first ever challenge at ChouxChoux Paper Art where the prize is a gift certificate for Lawn Fawn. Several snippets were used, so I'll head to The Playground. Always makes my day to read your comments--thank you!

I missed the last SSS Flickr challenge, but when I saw the new theme is emboss resist I had to play along. It's definitely one of my favorite techniques. I used stamps from SSS Warm Wishes with Distress Inks spiced marmalade, fossilized amber & peeled paint. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa which was also used to ink the mat. Finished off with Dew Drops (a prize from Pixies Snippets Playground) using a Copic to make a clear one match the spiced marmalade. I used Fall colors to enter the challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog & my stamping (a set from last year's STAMPtember) lets me enter at SSS Monday. Happy Fall if you're in the Northern Hemisphere & thanks so much for stopping by.

Nichole's Card |
It's PTI release week, so instead of MIM the challenge is to be inspired by a DT project. Since I love making Christmas cards, my first idea was to use Snowflake Flurries with the design of a Maile card. But then I saw Autumn Adornments & thought it'd be beautiful used with Pearl Ex like this card Nicole did with Perfect Pearls. I stamped the image & sentiment in Versamark on brown cardstock & brushed on Super Bronze Pearl Ex.
The panel is mounted with foam tape to the card front covered with brown cardstock. Easy to make & flat for mailing, so maybe hubby's newly found cousins will get Thanksgiving cards this year! Thanks for stopping by.
Very last minute entry for the MFT contest: You Could Be A Card Design Superstar. Fall has arrived & the leaves are changing colors.
I was inspired to use fun foam & gold foil with MFT Fall Leaves dies. The background panel was sponged with Distress Inks scattered straw, wild honey & spiced marmalade before dry embossing with the Darice leaves folder. The MFT script from Thankful Leaves is stamped in Distress Ink frayed burlap as is the sentiment from the same set. Work again tomorrow, but I'll catch up soon with your blogs. Lots of my favorite techniques here: foil on fun foam, dry embossing & sponging inks, so I'll also enter at SSS Monday. And since Fall is the theme for SSS Work It Wednesday, I'll enter there. Thanks so much for stopping by.
