The current SSS Flickr challenge is Rainbow. I had an idea of what I wanted to do days ago & finally got it translated into a card. I die cut the 2 different flower centers from SSS Bella Bloom & colored one of each with these 5 VersaMagic inks: Red magic, Persimmon, Sage, Ocean Depth, Purple Hydrangea. I attached them along the edge cut with SSS A2 Card Curved Edge. Every other flower has a bit of yellow Stickles in the center.
The Doodlebug yellow dotted paper was attached to the inside of the card. I stamped the sentiment from SSS Warm Wishes on the solid side of the dotted paper using Versafine Onyx Black & for something different, I cut it apart, a la Maile Belles. I'm also entering SSS Monday & SSS Wednesday.
Hope you're enjoying the weekend. We had a quiet 4th at home & am so grateful the fireworks don't upset Fritz. Our treat was the first apple crisp of the season! Not fun standing for so long cutting up the apples (which kills my arthritic thumb), but it's always worth it! So glad you stopped by.
Those Bella Bloom flower centers look so perfect on this card, and I love the assorted colors and curved edge! That apple crisp sounds yummy :)

I like the arch made of those sweet little flowers!! This so cute Greta. I'm so glad Fritz was not afraid of the fireworks. Poor little Max was TERRIFIED of them. This was always a rough time for him. Your apple crisp sounds yummy. It's on of my DIL's faves. I made it for our Mother's Day dessert this year!
ReplyDeleteI love your card Greta! Love the curved edge with the colorful flowers, beautiful! We were camping and we were grateful they didn't do any fireworks, which was good for our baby Summer, glad Fritz was ok. How do you make your apple crisp? TFS

What a fun unique card!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Fritz was ok with the fireworks! Abby completely loses it, any big noise really sends her into a panic
So many happy dots. I like your rainbow of flowers. I slept through the normal 4th of July time so it must not have been too loud. Some neighborhood idiot set off a bunch of fireworks at about 3 am. That woke up about everyone.
ReplyDeleteThis is a brilliant card. I absolutely love the fun design. Thank you for sharing it with us for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. ~Michelle
