September Guest Designer

I am so thrilled to be the ODBD Guest Designer for the month of September. Hopefully you'll find some inspiration in my cards & maybe check out the wonderful products at ODBD.  I love soft, elegant cards & decided to give Mixed Media another try.  I applied Gesso to a piece of ODBD printed paper from the Heart And Soul Collection. I added some Spun Sugar Distress Paint & stamped the flourish butterfly image from ODBD Friendship set using Memento Olive Grove. The panel was partially embossed with a Cuttlebug folder using a small hammer.  I just kept adding Gesso & paint until I liked it & also sponged on a bit of Distress Ink Worn Lipstick. The sentiment from the same set was stamped in StazOn Jet Black & I used my gloved finger to swipe on Distress Stain Brushed Pewter. I backed the panel with cardstock to make it firmer & rounded 2 corners. I love velvet ribbon & these pink Mark Richards Mosaic Crystal Stickers, so was glad to be able to use them both.  I made the tulle flowers by just gathering a strip folded in half with a running stitch & covering the centers with iridescent pearl stickers I picked up long ago in a close-out at Michaels.  The panel is popped up on a green card.
I'm so grateful to ODBD for giving me this opportunity & as always, your comments make my day! I'll be back next Wednesday with card number 2.
The printed paper lets me add this card to the challenge at Virginia's View & my stamping qualifies for SSS Wed.

  15. I am totally blown-away by how amazing your card is, Greta! No matter what you touch, magic results, and this mixed media card is no exception. I'm in awe! I can't even fathom where to begin with creating a card like this (I do have gesso on my 'must get' list), but yours has given me plenty of incentive to figure it out. Absolutely show-stopping stunning! Congrats on your GD role - well-deserved and you are definitely on the 'dazzle and delight' path!!
