Scramble Re-make

I miss the roses we took out of the back, but my body says the 19 in front are enough work & then some!  Finished working them just as the sun got bright--another hot day here.  Brought in 3 to put in my favorite vase on the mantle where I have Mom & Dad's pictures.
Card Made in 20 minutes
Left me just 20 minutes to make & post a card for the Hero Arts Scramble. Fortunately, the theme was to stick to basics--no die cutting or embossing & only 1 embellishment. I grabbed 2 HA sets & my only 2 HA inks & actually made the deadline! Of course, to do that meant a very simple card.
Remake
I really liked how the stamping came out, so I cut off the back, added layers & Stickles and made it into a card for hubby's daughter. All layers but the card are scraps, so I'm entering Pixies Snippets Playground.
Couldn't resist taking another picture today of our neighbor's gorgeous tree with so much more color than 10 days ago! We even have rain in the forecast, so I know Fall is on the way & cooler temps will certainly be welcome at this house!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend & thanks for visiting.

  1. Greta I love both cards! The first is fresh clean and simple while the redo is a bit snappier!! Hubby's daughter will love this. We don't have much fall color yet. A warm beautiful day here today. Our late evening walk with Max was divine!!

  2. Such pretty cards Greta! No fall foliage here in the desert! Our roses and hibiscus are in full bloom ~ we have 100 degree temps for nearly another 3 weeks or so

  6. the original card is lovely, but I really like that you took it up a notch and created the second even lovelier card with it! oh and the roses are just beautiful! the trees are starting to turn and fall here, too... hoping it stays dry for a little while longer so the little guy and I get the fun of crunching through them on our walks to school!

  7. It feels like a time-lapse every time I visit because of that tree! Haha! I love it! Your card is lovely, as always. I like the double image with the whisper of color in the back. I wish I had the talent to be a gardener, but I am not patient enough, sadly.

  15. I tested roses for Jackson and Perkins years ago. I had a yard full of originals not available anywhere. I love them. Alas they are all gone now.

I love the stamping on your card (gorgeous colour!) and oh, fall. Once it starts it seems to escalate quickly! We were almost ready to get the furnace on last week with temps falling below zero at night - and then yesterday? 24C. lol
