Easter Tulips

Just in the nick of time for the Impression Obsession In the Garden challenge.  I stamped the little tulip from Petite Flowers 1, CL179, on a scrap embossed with a Sizzix folder & colored them with 3 of my neglected Gelly Roll pens--love the shimmer.  The sentiment is from IO Easter Eggs, MC121 & is black embossed.  I added pearls to this self-adhesive trim I got in close-out at Michaels.  Had a scrap of purple cardstock just the right color to use as a mat.
This will be used for a card exchange--not too thick so postage will be reasonable. I'll also enter Pixies Snippets Playground. Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll check your blogs soon.

  1. Greta, this is a delightful Easter card. Love that embossing- which I'm guessing you did with a Scor tool, rather than an EF. It's beautiful, and the sparkling tulips are perfect as tiny centerpieces. Nice find on the pretty pearl trimming too. TFS & Hugs

  4. Pretty x 3, Greta!! I'm just now trying to finish up a flower-themed card, so it looks like we're sharing similar wave-lengths. Mine, however, does not have the lovely shimmer and colour of yours (aiming for a Fusion entry...gahhh!); neither does it have that lovely pearl trim which is soooo striking! Gorgeous card; whoever receives this in your card exchange will be ecstatic! Hope Fritz helped you out!! I remember - ages ago - when I marked assignments, one of my dogs would sit on my lap, and 'nibble' at the edges of the papers. She truly made them 'dog-eared'! Thankfully, my students had great senses of humour (and yes, in exchange for my shenanigans, I did allow the occasional 'my dog ate my homework' excuse to fly *grin*) Hugs~c

  21. What fun card! I love the embossed background and that you found something to fit in the open spaces. I'm also impressed that your jelly roll pens still work! As soon as I turn my back on mine they dry up like no one's business!
