Merry Christmas

For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ, the Lord. Luke 2:11

I've had most of my Magenta stamps for many years.  Couldn't resist this beautiful cling stamp that I found just before my LSS closed last year. I gold embossed it on ivory cardstock & colored with markers.  I'd planned to add some glitter, but decided just to use a few pearls & little gold & pink dots.  The dark red mat is dry embossed for additional texture. I couldn't find a gold frame so just took the picture out of this old one. Fun to have one handmade decoration this year & I'm entering the Magenta challenge.

Wishing you & yours a very Merry Christmas!

  2. Oh, Greta! What a beautiful Magenta image, and it reminds me of the beautiful cross-stitch works my mom made, several that I now have and cherish. She always framed them in beautiful frames with lovely matting…what a sweet reminder! This looks hand-stitched and so intricate, and I love the touch of gold pearls…just enough! Greta, I wish you and your family a joyous and blessed Christmas! What a delight to have connected with you this year, and I look forward to "seeing" more of you in 2014! Big hugs, sweet friend, Cheryl

It is Boxing day here now, Rob and I had a great Christmas morning with the family, your beautiful card arrived on Christmas eve; such perfect timing, thank you so very much.
Gosh when I saw this lovely framed piece I though it was certainly a cross stitch, how surprised to read that it is a stamp and a perfect one to frame as it looks gorgeous.
    Have a great day.
    Smiles:)

  8. Greta - wow!! Your photo of this piece of art reveals such a pretty piece, but I know how AWESOME it must be in real life! Gold embossing, colouring, some perfectly placed embellishments...swoon!! I'll echo Sue and Cheryl: it looks like an exquisite cross-stitch (which reminds me, I have a few unfinished pieces to finish!). Stunning, beautiful, outstanding! Said it before, and will say it again: your creativity knows no bounds!! Winner, winner, winner!!! Hugs, dear friend~c
