Sugar Coated Background

Card Made Years Ago
Couldn't pass up making a card for one PTI Stamp-A-Faire challenge after work.  I was so happy to see Betsy's video for the Sugar Coated Background--something out of my past. In fact, here's the card I made in one of my first stamping classes many years ago.  It was simple & the effect was magical to me.
For my challenge card I used PTI Snowflake Flurries & stamped the images with shades of blue & lavender.  I used my Kewl tool to pounce a little of the lavender ink on the sentiment panel.  Now if I could just figure out how to photograph glitter!  It really is such a gorgeous effect in person.

    The word, "magical" is perfect for this technique and I love that you shared the card you made years ago, as well as the one for today - both so pretty, Greta!

    Both are wonderful but I do love the second one for its more modern look...
    I wish I could have followed the StampaFaire. I seem to miss it every August since we usually take 10 days off at the end of the month.

    I too love them both! Such a fabulous fun look :) And if you figure out photographing glitter let me know - my technique is to tilt the card so it blinds me. lol

    These are both really breathtaking, Great! Some techniques stand the test of time, don't they? Thank goodness! Your photos did a great job of capturing the sparkle, at least on my monitor!!

    Both cards are magical, Greta! The sugar-coating (yet another Greta's great inspiration!) is fabulous; a technique I've added to my must try list. Sparkles...love sparkles!! You've really added something special to my day in posting these, my friend!!
