Happy Birthday with Sparkle!

cfc99

I know a lot of you craft in the evenings so you can probably relate to this.  I do have a true color light, which helps, but this morning when I looked at the card I made last night I saw that the yellow was not "lightening yellow" at all.  Funny thing is, if I'd looked behind me at the stack of papers not put away, I'd have seen a sheet of the color I needed.  That'll teach me for putting off cleaning up my space--not that it won't happen again--LOL!  Anyway, this morning my cold is much better & since it's my day off I re-made the card which I'm entering into the challenges for PDCC & Cas-ual Fridays.  It just so happens that CFS is sponsoring the PDCC this week.  I love the CFS Casual Elegance set I recently picked out as my random drawing prize & knew I wanted to use it for both challenges for a chance to get some more stamp sets.  My supplies are: Lifetime Crafts circle dies, Memento Rose Bud & Gray Flannel, COPIC Y02, Mark Richards crystal stickers.  The glitter is a large bottle labeled "sample" that cost me a whole 75 cents years ago at a stamp convention.  I used a Quickie Glue Pen to apply the glitter.  It works perfectly every time--never clogs--definitely worth keeping on hand.  Thanks so much for choosing to spend some of your time checking my blog--I appreciate every one of you.  Have a great week.

  4. Ooooh yes the wrong color ordeal, I've done that on more than one occasion! But it's still a PRETTY card! A fun shape and I like the sparkle!

  5. No no not me! Never happened...not! Too often! My biggest mistake at night is ailing things and Tampa straight! So many times in the morning I look with horror at my cards nod think that didn't look like that last night!

  6. Love this darling card, Greta! That happens to me too - usually with green shades for some reason. They look perfectly fine until I load the photo onto the computer and then gasp! So glad you're feeling better! :)

  9. Oh, yes, dang, does that ever happen to me! I also glue things on perfectly straight at night and in the morning they have gone all wonky! The thing is, the computer / photo coloring is so often inaccurate that I don't fuss about that so much any more, but the wonkiness, what's up with that?! A beautiful and unique card, Greta!!

  10. Darnell always makes me smile - and I totally second what she said! Colours often go funny once they're in a photo. I love my Quickie Glue pen too - and my Gray Flannel inkpad. I am using that for EVERYTHING right now. Such a cool card!
