If you can have Christmas in July why not Easter in August?! The Impression Obsession challenge is to make a square card & I wanted to use my cute IO bunny die (DIE043-G).
My original plan was to use all 3 dies, but I really liked the design using just this one. The IO sentiment is from the set called Easter Eggs (MC121). The die cut negatives are backed with 3 different dotted BoBunny papers. I did have to run to the store & get the little pom poms which look so much better than what I tried to make out of cotton balls--haha. Dots of Stickles & floss tied into a bow finish it off. I'm also entering Double D, HLS Anything Goes with Dies, The Playground & Time Out.
Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Greta, I agree with Easter in August and you made a fabulous card with those bunny dies! I love that you used the negative and backed them with the bitty dots! Perfection!
ReplyDeleteSuch an effective use of dies Greta, I guess we could call it reverse die cutting ?

This is way cute! I love the design of putting that fresh and funky paper behind the bunny cut outs. I like your bunny bums too! boing boing!
ReplyDeleteA great idea, so we're not scrambling at the last moment. We should have challenges 6 months in advance for ALL the holidays! Your bunnies look adorable presented this way. Love the use of the negative space to add in the different colors of dotty bunnies. The technique created a lot of subtle dimension as well. TFS & Hugs
