My card is for PTI MIM, CropStop & One Layer Simplicity. I used PTI Blueberry Sky for the stars & the sentiment from the new Make It Market kit is stamped in Distress Ink festive berries. The stars are brushed with Wink of Stella & I splattered on Heidi Swapp white Color Shine & Delicata Shimmery Silver. Needed something, so I added a scored frame.
The vellum mask worked great, so I decided to make another card.
I began by inking a die cut rectangle with Blueberry Sky & then stenciled with Memento Luxe Wedding Dress & brushed the stars with Wink of Stella. The panel was mounted to silver glitter paper. For the card front I stamped a panel of stripes using an image from PTI Watercolor Wonder & Adirondack Cranberry dye ink. The sentiment is an old favorite from the Oregon company Peddler's Pack & I finished off with PPP Sparkling Clear sequins. I'm entering Fusion, HLS Anything Goes, Little Tangles, Stamplorations Theme & Sketch.
Clarification: I die cut the stars from a piece of PTI vellum & used it as a stencil for both cards.
Great job with the PTI challenge Greta!! Your second card is a perfect patriotic card. It's not too in your face red white and blue, just the right shades of each!!
ReplyDeleteboth cards are absolutely amazing, greta!!! I have said it before and will say it again... you always make the best cards with the MIM techniques!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Rosemary ~ Your MIM cards are always awesome, and these 2 cards are fabulous! I love the arrangement of the stars...it's perfect for your design! Love the diagonal stripes on the 2nd card, too! Great job on the challenge!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, so versatile could be for anyone. Those are great to have in one's stash.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards and designs Greta, I always struggle with red white and blue combos, maybe I should try a paler blue as that works so well here.
