I added glitter glue to the flower centers and used a shimmer pen on the steam and Elizabeth Craft Designs word. Surprise, surprise--I had pink cardstock to match the little flower! 😊 So proud of myself for thinking of the coffee beans layer in the Miss Ink Stamps Coffee Time stencil set. It's actually designed to go around all the little cups, but I easily repositioned it several times to get beans where I wanted them behind my cup. I used a finger dauber with CN9 Ballet Slipper ink. I'm entering Just Us Girls, SSS Wednesday and Word Art Wednesday.
Lots of people are dealing with snow and ice, but it's just cold and sunny in the PNW. So, I made paper snowflakes! I pulled out blue cardstocks I thought went together well and used SSS Snowflake Block die and SSS Fanciful Flurries 3D folder. I sprayed the diecut with Lindy's Stamp Gang Fairy Fluff which is beautiful when a light shines on it. I used a white paint pen to color the tiny dots. Didn't like the look of adding a sentiment, so I'll just put one inside. Not sure if this will be a Christmas or winter BD card. I love the fresh, clean look and decided against embellishments. I'm entering Color Hues and Inkspirational.
Thanks so much for taking time to stop by. If your blog address is in your profile or comment, I will visit you.

Each card is very pretty, Greta! Lovely paper that you used for the cup on the first card! And, second card is beautiful with the snowflakes! I wish I didn't have to think of snow here for it's certainly on it's way. The big question is how much are we going to get. Staying in and crafting is fine with me!:-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty cup and I'm loving the little coffee beans! So happy to have this wonderful card in our JUGs gallery! Your blue snowflakes are delightful. We're awaiting the big storm. They're calling for us to get a foot... I sure hope not!
ReplyDeleteOops...my bad... it's not in our JUGs gallery yet ; )
DeleteThe first card perfect to accompany the voucher, the second elegant and ideal winer colours.

Its definitely snowing out side here. About 4 inches so far I'd say. Its the tiny icy flakes right now. I want big fat fluffy flakes...lol. I am about to go to the kitchen your latte mug has inspired an itch for a warm cup.
ReplyDeleteThat patterned paper looks great as a cup and so glad the pink matched the flower, Greta. The coffee bean stencil was perfect for the background. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
ReplyDeleteHello, Greta! If I saw that pretty coffee cup in a store, it would be coming home with me. As for your card for Color Hues, I really love that the snowflakes continue but in blue. I think you were smart to leave it be as it is so pretty on its own. Thanks for playing at Color Hues.
ReplyDeleteFun patterned cup, Greta & I love your blue snowflake frame with the embossing behind!
ReplyDeleteO love both, coffee and snowflakes!!! And I love your cards!!!
ReplyDeleteHola Greta. Buenos días.
ReplyDeleteBellissima tassa de café i els seus cops da neu.

Lovely soft background for that oh so fabulous floral coffee cup Greta. Your friend will love your card and also the starbucks voucher. How sweet of you. Lovely snowflake card too Greta. Thanks again for sharing and supporting us at JUGS.
ReplyDeleteI commented on the adorable coffee cup card on IG, but didn't see your beautiful blue and white snowflake card until now. I'm behind in looking through the Color Hues gallery as I'm currently stranded in Georgia following a weekend conference. Granted if you have to be stranded, Georgia not a bad place to be, but we've now had three flights cancelled. Hoping to get out tomorrow. Anyway, thanks, as always, for playing with us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteGreta, you’re absolutely right! This gorgeous cup definitely belongs on a card, and it’s perfect for giving a Starbucks gift card! Your snowflake card is really cute too. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We appreciate your participation!
ReplyDeleteGreta these cards are, as always, fantastic! You are so talented my friend! The way that you use snowflakes two ways on your colour Hughes card is just perfect! Thank you so much for sharing with us at the Color Hues!!
ReplyDeleteI love your snowflake on snowflake design! And your first card is just so bright and cheerful. Stay warm and thanks for playing with us at Color Hues!
