The very old PTI trees were stamped in Versafine Clair Pinecone--a very dark brown. Added some small splatters and used gold metallic cardstock for the mat. The sentiment is from SSS Full of Thanks. I covered the card front with slightly lighter brown textured cardstock. I'm entering Color Hues and WAW.
I love layering stencils and really had fun using the Miss Ink cups set. Decided to make a red, teal and silver Christmas card.
The inks are CN9 Poppy, Oceanside and Delicata Silvery Shimmer. The little snowflakes and berries are Uniko. The Precious Remembrance Shop sentiment was embossed with Sparkle powder and I added Stickles to the snowflake centers. I'll put a Christmas sentiment on the inside. I'm entering Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Gorgeous cards Greta. That idea of using a leaf is awesome. And how cute is your Christmas card. Love the teal and red together
ReplyDeleteThat worked really well as the backdrop to your Trees making a lovely Autumnal (Fall) card. I went collecting again yesterday, saw these tiny little Sycamore leaves i a supermarket car park, they worked nicely on the Gelli Plate. In hindsight anyone watching me probably thought I had totally lost the plot (could be right!).

Your Thanksgiving card is absolutely BEAUTIFUL Greta!! Years and years ago I did the painting on real leaves and "stamping" with them, but had completely forgotten about that technique...thanks so much for reminding me and sharing this lovely card with us at Color Hues!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteLovely set of cards, Greta! Love that leaf print on the first card. Intrigued by the idea, but it is pouring rain right now so no dry leaves to be found, lol! The second card is so fun and festive.
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! I surer love the colors on your coffee card!
ReplyDeleteYour leaf print Thanksgiving card is lovely, Greta but it's the cute little snowflake mugs that have me smitten! What a delightful card!
ReplyDeleteCool to use the leaf print, perfect for thanksgiving. your coco cups are quite festive as well.
ReplyDeleteLove your leaf print. I have done it with a gelli plate before and that works well. Haven't done anything like that for a while now though. Your teacup card is great fun too xx
ReplyDeleteLove your take on the leaf stamping, Greta - so great with the silhouette trees!! Fun stenciled cup background on card two too!!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so pretty and sweet! Thanks so much for joining us for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop!
ReplyDeleteI, too, had forgotten about "stamping" with real leaves. I did it long ago for a challenge. Yours worked perfectly as a backdrop to the silhouetted trees! Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues! (Love the stenciled cups - such a great color combination!)
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are fabulous Greta...especially the one for the Fall Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop. Awesome design and love the colors.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun way to add interest to your card, Greta. It is really beautiful. I haven't done leaf printing since I had my home daycare. As for your second card I love it so very much. What an awesome stencil and card. I love Miss Ink stencils. Thanks for sharing your talents with us at Color Hues. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI love how you stamped with a real leaf for your background, Greta! It makes a special Fall card! Thanks so much for sharing it with us at Color Hues! And I love teal and red together and the thought of a cup of hot tea and watching the snow fall.
ReplyDeleteOooh I love those blue cups!
ReplyDeleteYour very old PTI tree is gorgeous Greta, I still have a lot of my old PTI sets I just can't part with. The colours are fantastic! You red, teal and silver cups are also so fun. I need to make a card for the hop too. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us at the Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous Thanksgiving card, Greta! Love the trees and beautiful large colorful leaf! Your second card is so fun with the pretty aqua tea cups in different positions! I always liked the red/aqua color combo, so lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis card with the real leaf is so cool and so perfect for this time of year. I will check this out as our leaves are starting to fall. These cups are so pretty with the colors you used. It reminds me of a tea set I had as a child. Remember those tiny cups and plates. You don't see those any more.
ReplyDeleteHola Greta.
