Back to my current card.
I cut a white panel in 2 and lined the pieces back up in the Flower Bed embossing folder. Sweet Bouquet was colored with the matching stencils using Rose Quartz, Puffy Heart, Cosmic Berry, Firefly, Forest Glades, Shadow Creek and Citrus Burst. I splattered the bouquet with SSS Splatter Medium and added yellow Stickles to all the flower centers--focal point and background. The sentiment from the stamp set fit perfectly inside. I did add cardstock layers to the bouquet to make it sturdy enough to have only the left side attached. You can see details and sparkle in my IG post. This is another card for the Altenew August Challenge and I'm entering DCD where Altenew is the sponsor.
I cut 4 squares of the beautiful White and Red Flowers: Yuzenshi paper and matted them with dark brown cardstock in my stash. The little branches were die cut from the same brown paper. To keep from covering up much of the background, I used a scrap of my vellum for the shadow of SSS Happy Autumn die. The Gold Diamond Glitter paper in the box was perfect for the card front and letters. You can see the sparkle and shine in my IG post. And yes, I'm ready for Autumn's cooler weather!
Next is my first Z Fold card--yay! I'm a slow cardmaker, so I don't usually make fun fold cards. However, I watched a video recently and thought the simple version was something I could do. Here's what I came up with using some favorite Altenew products.

All cards are so beautiful and the first card looks very noble!!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are stunning Greta. The square patterned card looks amazing. And a delightful Z fold card. So happy you've added to our challenge at Die Cut Divas.
ReplyDeleteAnother trip of beautiful Greta, the embossing so effective on Kraft card.

Wonderful makes, I especially like your z-fold card!! Thanks for linking up to our August challenge at Die Cut Divas.
ReplyDeleteThese are great and thanks for sharing your first make for FMS, doesn't time fly. I very rarely make fancy fold cards, but I think I might join you and do a z fold for the reasons you outline. Love your use of dry embossing too xx
ReplyDeleteLovely fall inspired card for the FMS challenge. I never make fancy fold cards because they always end up a mess for me, lol. Yours, however, is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteBoth FMS cards are beautiful and I remember your rolled felt roses. A z fold card is always an eye catcher, this is no exception.
ReplyDeleteThese are both beautiful (as is your first FMS card)! Thanks for joining us in our 700th sketch celebration!
ReplyDeleteYes... I miss our felt roses too. Love both your 2013 card and today's take on the sketch. Two fabulous cards, but it's your final card that has me smitten. That fun fold and sweet pink bloom are just the sweetest!

ReplyDeleteAll beautiful cards, Greta! Great take on the sketch with the lovely paper and sparkly sentiment! A fun fold card with the embossed background and lovely flowers!
ReplyDeleteEach card is a gem. I really like how you dry embossed your Z-fold card - I never thought of it, but oh, it's gorgeous with the simple, but beautiful flower. So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas with your Z-Fold card. I think I may have to try that.
ReplyDeleteYour Z-fold card is gorgeous! I love everything about it! The beautiful white embossing and the lovely flowers. I'm pinning this to remind me to give this a try when my crafting life settles down.
ReplyDeleteThree gorgeous cards, Greta! So glad you shared your Zfold with the Divas!!
ReplyDeleteYour z-fold card is so pretty. Love the flowers and leaves and the texture you achieved with the embossing folder. Thanks for joining us at Die Cut Divas.
