Fritz, Decorations & One Layer Cards

This is the life! Fritz loves to take over the bed when we get up & this morning hubby covered him with the quilt so I snapped a picture.  I call him my angel dog & so far he's keeping the title. He watched me decorate the tree & just sniffed at the lights & decorations--no grabbing them--yah!  Speaking of decorations, thought I'd show you 2 of my treasures. My grandmother did not appear to be the crafty type, but she certainly could be.  She made jewel Christmas trees for all of us one year, so I now have mine, my mom's & the one she kept for herself.  Isn't it beautiful?!  I also have some ornaments she made which I photographed on an antique plate she gave me.

I do have a card to show you.  Most of my cards are one of a kind, but knew I needed something quick, easy & flat for hubby to send his newly found cousins.  I used my very old DeNami holly leaves & a Penny Black sentiment.  I'm entering One Layer Christmas Card ChallengeSSS MondayLori's Christmas/Winter Challenge #2Penny Black & More & Retro Rubber.
Thanks for taking time to visit my blog--I appreciate every one of you!

  2. Great cards Greta and I love the Christmas tree your Grandmother made and the Christmas baubles how beautiful. It is so nice to have something so special to keep, it is so full of wonder I reckon each time you look you see something new.
Fritz is like our Jake (companion dog from guide dog assoc for my daughter). He does love to snuggle down under the duna and will lay there just staring at us as if to say 'what? What ? You want me to move?' So much a member of the family.

  4. So pretty! Love the touch of sparkle on the holly berries! What a treasure you have there with your grandmother's creations! I have some of my grandfather's old office supplies and I was wondering what to do with them... but something like this would be cool! Hmm... after the holidays perhaps.

  22. A very lovely CAS holiday card! But my first reaction to your blog post was an "awwww" for sweet Fritz! I have told my husband that once a schnauzer lover, always a schnauzer lover. My black schnauzer Annie is 9-1/2 and my white Schnauzer Libby is 8. I have 4 salt and pepper babies waiting for me at the rainbow bridge. What joy they bring! So glad you included Retro Rubber in your holiday stamping. Merry Christmas!
