CAS Birthday card

Worksheet-iconYes, Sue, I'm in a CAS phase--LOL!  Maybe I'll discover that's my strong suite--at least I've been happier with those cards lately.  Not much time to craft today for a good reason that I will share later this week.  I really love the PTI sketches for today's contest & I needed to make a birthday card to mail tomorrow. I hadn't yet used this small image from Lovely Layers & thought it'd be fun for the last sketch.  I pulled out my little VersaMagic pads & picked 6 of them: Purple Hydrangea, Aquatic Splash, Pink Petunia, Aloe Vera, Ocean Depth & Malted Mauve.  The sentiment is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black & is from Quilled Elegance.  I thought about adding embossed lines &/or ribbon & rounding corners but ended up with just some pearls.  I hope my Flickr friend will like it.  I'd love to hear if you would have done something different.

  7. I really love it just the way it is Greta! The colors are great and the little scattering of pearls add just the right amount of embellishment to your CAS design! Thanks for sending good thoughts my way during the big snowstorm:). We actually fared much better than a lot of other places- no power outages and only about 9 in snow. Temps are back in the 40's today and it's raining!

  8. Wow, this is really gorgeous, Greta! I'd say you do CAS beautifully! I'm currently trying to challenge myself to try different color combos outside my comfort zone (complimentary colors) and I absolutely love the colors you've chosen here. Versamagic chalk ink is awesome, right? I love the even coverage.

  10. I love it, Greta, from your pretty color choices to the way the images are "tumbling" across the card. The placement of the images draws your eye toward the sentiment and the pearls frame it all beautifully.

    ...and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
